Immunisation Endorsement Pathway
The Course in Immunisation Practice in Primary Healthcare (10754NAT) is accredited by Health Education Services Australia (HESA). The HESA accredited course has received direct recognition from State Health Departments in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania. This means that students who successfully complete the Course in Immunisation Practice in Primary Healthcare (Immunisation Practice Pathway) and state-specific Endorsement Program will be able to immunise independently of a Medical Officer in these jurisdictions. In December 2020, NSW Health have updated their policy directive to recognise Authorised Nurse Immunisers that have completed any training endorsed by Health Education Service Australia (HESA). In December 2020, Queensland Health Director General updated their policy directive to recognise Immunisation Program Nurses that have completed any training endorsed by Health Education Service Australia (HESA). In January 2021, the Tasmanian Government Department of Health added our program to the list of courses accepted by the Director of Public Health in Tasmania. To view the Tasmanian Authorised Immuniser Application Guidelines please click here.
