The Benchmarque Group are proud to introduce our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
Reconciliation is central to the driving principles behind the Benchmarque Group’s mission. For harmony across Australia to occur, we, as a business and as individuals, must encourage and foster an environment in which Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, and their fellow Australians, are represented by understanding and mutual respect. This will ultimately lead to positive change in Australia’s culture, where opportunities are available to all.
The Benchmarque Group acknowledges that we have a unique role to play, through our collaborative working relationships with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations, peak bodies and communities. These do not only benefit our operations but also help to contribute to better health outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Serving Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and their communities are central to our business and this is reflected in the particular focus given to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander healthcare in our training and development programs.
Our Innovate RAP formalises our focus on strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities, individuals and peak bodies. It also guides the involvement of our staff and stakeholders in our reconciliation journey and in the development and implementation of innovative strategies to assist in ‘closing the gap’ with regard to health outcomes and supporting the socio-economic development of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.
Our RAP is another important step in our commitment to reconciliation. It will be adopted at all levels within the business and implemented across the entirety of our activities.
