Immunisation Learning Pathways

A immunisation learning solution for anyone working in Primary Healthcare

We are absolutely thrilled to announce the expansion of our immunisation learning pathways to support anyone working in Primary Healthcare! Whether you are looking to support those who do immunise, add Immunisation to your scope of practice, or become an authorised nurse immuniser – we have a learning solution for you.

Let’s explore the options.

Immunisation Support Pathway

The Immunisation Support pathway, designed for students who do not immunise as part of their scope of practice, starts by building a base knowledge with the online program, Foundations of Immunisation Support.

Students can then continue on with a choice of four online programs and then move through to the Supporting Immunisation Practice Program, consisting of further learning, a face-to-face workshop and workplace activities.

Successfully completing the pathway means Students will have achieved the nationally accredited Course in Immunisation Support in Primary Healthcare (10764NAT).

Immunisation Practice Pathway

The Immunisation Practice pathway, designed for students who do immunise as part of their scope of practice, also begins by building foundational knowledge in our foundational program.

Students can then continue on with a choice of four online programs - options include immunisation needs in pregnancy, influenza, adult and older persons and school age programs.

Following on is the Practice of Immunisation Program, consisting of further learning, a face-to-face workshop in partnership with PHNs, and workplace activities.

Successfully completing this pathway means students will have achieved the nationally accredited Course in Immunisation Practice in Primary Healthcare (10754NAT).

Become a nurse immuniser – Immunisation Endorsement Program

The Benchmarque Group Immunisation Endorsement Program is a HESA (Health Education Services Australia) endorsed, online program for Registered Nurses and Midwives who want the ability to immunise independent of a medical officer. The program is specific to the state or territory the student works in and all students must have completed the entire learning pathway for the Course in Immunisation Practice in Primary Healthcare.

We are currently liaising with Health Departments to be listed as an endorsed immunisation provider in each jurisdiction, allowing all successful students to be automatically recognised as an endorsed immuniser. In the meantime however, we will be recommending that any student that successfully completes our program should refer to the Department of Health in the jurisdiction they practice in, or wish to practice in, for information and conditions on authorisation.

Select immunisation in the course category and simply click on the pathway/programs you want to apply for.
