Notify Me List for Immunisation

We are thrilled to announce two new upcoming nationally accredited courses - Course in Immunisation Practice in Primary Healthcare (for clinicians) and Course in Immunisation Support in Primary Healthcare (for primary healthcare practice support staff). Focussed on workforce development, the courses are designed for people for whom immunisation is part of their day-to-day scope of practice - learning new skills, consolidating existing skills and keeping up to date with current vaccination programs and changes.

The launch of these two new courses marks more than 18 months of intensive development and industry consultation, including two advisory panels - one clinical and one informing course delivery.

The launch of the courses will see The Benchmarque Group partner closely with Primary Health Networks to deliver workshops across metropolitan, rural and remote Australia. Workshops are currently available in South Australia, Queensland, Northern Territory, New South Wales and Victoria.

If you work in South Australia or Queensland, please visit this page to see available workshops, alternative you join the immunisation mailing list now and be the first to know about course dates and availability! Please click the link below:

 About the programs:

Course in Immunisation Practice in Primary Healthcare (10754NAT), is designed to provide students (clinicians) with the specific skills and knowledge that will enable them to perform a range of comprehensive immunisation services and remain up-to-date with current programs, changes, and requirements relevant to their scope of practice.
The course includes online theory modules and a half-day face-to-face workshop where students will be equipped with demo doses, injection pads and dummies to practice the reconstitution and administration of vaccines, cradling techniques for infants and the development of immunisation catch-ups. Please note, this course does not qualify successful students to administer vaccinations without the authorisation of a medical officer.

Course in Immunisation Support in Primary Healthcare (10764NAT), is designed to provide students (for primary healthcare practice support staff) with the skills and knowledge to provide support in the delivery of a range of immunisation services in primary healthcare, to enhance patient care and to remain up-to-date with current vaccination programs, changes and requirements.
This course includes both online theory modules and a three-hour face-to-face workshop where students will practice skills including vaccine management and storage, data entry, and strategies to promote immunisation.
