The Ear Health learning pathway starts by building your base knowledge with the nationally-accredited online program, Foundations of Ear Health (level 1). You can then continue on with 4 more nationally-accredited Courses (level 2) - options are dependent on your current qualifications, and topics include the ear and hearing health (including wax removal), otitis media, tympanometry and microsuction. Second level in the Immunisation Support learning pathway
Students need to complete the Foundations of Immunisation Support Program prior to entry to this program.
On successful completion of this program, students can choose from further level 2 online specialty programs (options include immunisation support in pregnancy, influenza and adults and older person), or move on to Level 3 - Supporting Immunisation Practice.

Entry requirements
Entrants to the Support School Aged Immunisation Program must provide evidence of a relevant professional role. Relevant roles would include:
- Medical receptionist
- Practice assistant
- Non-clinical Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers
- Practice manager.
Entrants should have:
- A minimum of three months employment or experience working with clients in primary health care
- Language, literacy and numeracy levels sufficient to interpret basic medical parameters, respond to requests from health professionals and communicate effectively with clients and public.
Benchmarque Group Specific Requirements

The Support School Aged Immunisation is a nationally accredited online program that aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to support vaccinations in the school's program.
The program aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to support vaccination in the school's program, with a focus on understanding the guidelines for school vaccination, the rationale for vaccination and supporting an individual's decision-making process to be vaccinated.
Upon successful completion of the program students should have the ability to:
- Source evidence-based resources available for health providers and clients on vaccination for school aged clients
- Identify eligible clients for vaccination in accordance with national guidelines and organisation's processes
- Provide information on vaccine recommendations for school aged clients within scope of own job role.
Online learning and assessment is delivered via our online learning management system accessIQ.
To achieve competency students must demonstrate successful completion of:
- Written assessment covering essential knowledge and skills
- Workplace observed practice.
All assessments must be completed in accordance with heath and safety standards and infection control policies and procedures.
Workplace observed practice is a mandatory requirement for this course, workplace practice must be observed by a medical practitioner, practice manager or practice nurse that performs the identified workplace tasks as part of their role.
All workplace observed activities must be completed in accordance with workplace policies and procedures of the facility where the activity is being conducted.
All materials are delivered online via accessIQ, including learning materials, video and other resources.

Continuing professional development is the means by which members of the clinical profession maintain, improve and broaden their knowledge, expertise and competence, and develop the personal and professional qualities required throughout their professional lives.
The CPD cycle involves reviewing practice, identifying learning needs, planning and participating in relevant learning activities, and reflecting on the value of those activities.

For all other health professionals completing this program, your continuing professional development (CPD) requirements may vary and it is important to remember that it is your responsibility to maintain and register CPD with your professional body. In many instances, your regulatory authority will recognise hours of learning as stated above.
6 months. The time is calculated from when a student receives and opens their assessment. Within the accessIQ platform, students will be provided an initial 3 months to complete and submit all required assessment activities. Friendly email reminders will be sent to students to ensure an assessment is completed on time. At the completion of the 6 month period, students can request up to a maximum of 2 extensions, each extension being for a period of 90 days. If requesting a second extension, the request must be in writing. If the entire 6 month period expires and a final assessment has not been submitted, The Benchmarque Group reserves the right to deem the assessment Not Competent and remove the student from the program.
If you are deemed Not Yet Competent on your first and second assessment submissions, feedback will be provided. It is very important that you read all the feedback provided. The Assessor will have identified any areas where additional evidence is required or any questions that need to be reviewed and resubmitted. If, after 3 unsuccessful submissions, you are unable to demonstrate competency on your assessment, your assessment will be deemed Not Competent. Feedback will be provided to you and what the possible following steps and outcomes are.
At the completion of the program, successful students will receive a Statement of Attainment for Support School Aged Immunisation Program. A Statement of Attainment is issued when an individual has completed one or more accredited units.
